Acceleration Services

  • Collaborate
Collaboration, partnerships, solutions, growth, coaching and global access are part of the everyday culture. Born-global companies are positioned to succeed, export, get to market, find customers, generate sales, and find investors. This is the vision of our accelerators.

  • Develop
Business incubators and accelerators nurture the development of entrepreneurial companies during the startup phase. Often the primary goal of the programming is to grow local and national economies through job creation, an augmented entrepreneurial climate, and accelerated growth in key sectors. The U.S.-based National Business Incubation Association suggests incubation increases the chance of success for startups, stating that access to coaching, mentoring, funding/program assistance, mature organizations, governments, academia, and professional services dramatically increase the success rates of participants in the accelerator programs.

  • Standardization
AURP Canada is working with the research and technology parks across Canada to standardize the acceleration centres and the programming that is offered. More information will be available in the coming months.

  • Accelerate
Contact us for more information about becoming a tenant in a research and technology park or accessing our acceleration services.

  • Clusters
Primary clusters include ICT, life sciences, biotechnology (agri-food, plant, forest, marine), ocean technology, clean technology/environmental technology, and nanotechnology.

Export Opportunities

Incubated companies have a success rate of 87% compared to 44% for the average startup.

In 2013, AURP Canada launched a Foreign Direct Investment strategy in collaboration with Global Affairs (formerly the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT)).  For more information about the trade commissioner services, visit the Trade Commissioner service website or contact us for more information.
