The Canadian Association of University Research Parks (AURP Canada) is a national organization that represents the 26 research and technology parks in Canada – seven of which are located here in Western Canada. Innovation Place was a founding member of AURP Canada in 2007.

On January 20, 2015, Innovation Place in Saskatoon was the location for an investment announcement by Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification.

Western Economic Diversification is investing $125,000 that will be leveraged with investment from the parks in Western Canada (along with other parks across Canada through the AURP Canada network) to identify potential companies (in foreign markets – primarily in the United States and abroad) that are interested in expansion into the Canadian and Western Canadian markets and into the parks and accelerators within the parks.

The funding will also be used for phase two of a benchmarking program to assist the parks in standardizing services, programs and partnerships with private sector, affiliated universities and provincial governments.

AURP Canada is also working closely with the Department of Foreign Affairs Trade and Development to identify high-growth potential companies within the park network.

If your company is interested in accelerating its export program or being connected to trade commissioners around the globe who can help, please contact AURP Canada at info@aurpcanada.com.

More information on the high-growth potential company can be provided based on specific program needs and business expansion plans.
